Painters Journal
Well, You won't believe this but someone hijacked my old blog address, lindablondheimstudio.blogspot.com Now it is either a porn site or a pill pusher site so don't go there. If you do, please report it to blogger. I can't imagine how these things happen. I deleted the blog about 6 weeks ago and now it is reborn as porn. What a World!!!!!!
On a happier note,
I got a lovely email from Lisa:
Linda,
I just felt like I should tell you how much I've enjoyed reading your blog and painters tips. Not only is the information helpful, precise and specific with illustrated examples, but it's full of great ideas and encouragement. I hope I can remember some of your great ideas and painters tips when I need them! I've found it very validating and interesting and wanted to formally thank you for sharing your knowledge with people like me!
Lisa
Lisa,
Your kind words made my day. Thank you so much.
Painters Tip
Somtimes I like to use unusual palettes whch aren't the usual three primary colors. The painting above was done with an interesting palette of Red Iron Oxide, Ivory Black, Titanium White, and Sap Green. I have used this palette on several tonal paintings and I like it. It's fun and challenging to stray from the same old safe palette you usually use. Get busy mixing some new combinations and some severly limited colors. You will be surprised at what you may find.
