I will be away for a few days starting tomorrow. I will be painting at the Epcot Center Flower and Garden Festival Friday through Sunday in the United Kingdom pavilion. I'll have some photos and stories for you on Monday. If you are going to the festival, stop and say hello.
Painters Tip
My workshop sponsor Jack Richeson & Co. Jack Richeson & Co. Fine Art Materials sells these terrific little palettes.
I have been using mine for acrylics, but I'm sure they work equally well for all mediums. The lid keeps my paint wet for as long as I need it and when the palette gets all messed up and yucky, I leave the lid off. The paint dries and it just peels off with my fingernail. Then I wash it and it is clean and ready to use again. This is the handiest little palette, small enough to fit easily in a plein air easel or pochade box.
Jack Richeson provides these little palettes for my workshop students and they all love them. They make first class products and materials. I love their paint, brushes, and easels too. You can see a list of stores who sell their product on their web site.
